چکیده
Purpose: To evaluate efficacy of eplerenone therapy vs. observation on resolution subretinal fluid (SRF) in patients with acute and chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) routine clinical practice. Methods: Retrospective comparative case series eyes diagnosed CSCR treated or observation. Primary outcome measure was maximum height SRF at 12 months. Secondary percentage complete SRF, reduction ≥50%, best corrected visual acuity (VA) Separate analysis conducted for CSCR. Results: Sixty-eight 60 (82% male) were included. Eleven the 38 CSCR, seven 30 received eplerenone. Subretinal decreased from baseline to months (287 ± 221 31 63 µm) (148 134 40 42 Kaplan-Meier curves similar observed COX regression did not show a significant difference (p = 0.6 acute, p 0.2 CSCR). Conclusion: This practice study evidence nor

Acute Central Serous Chorioretinopathy
PURPOSE To evaluate the influence of clinical and multimodal imaging parameters on the duration of acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) episodes. METHODS Consecutive patients with first, treatment-naïve central serous chorioretinopathy episodes presenting within 20 days of symptoms onset were prospectively included. They were reevaluated 15 days to 20 days later, followed by monthly ...
متن کاملTopical Nepafenac in Treatment of Acute Central Serous Chorioretinopathy
This study had been performed to investigate the anatomic and functional outcomes of nepafenac 0.1% therapy in acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC). The medical records of 30 patients with acute CSC were reviewed for a total of 31 eye charts. Seventeen eye records of 16 patients who were treated with topical nepafenac 0.1% three times daily for four weeks and continued until complete re...

We report the case of a 46-year-old patient, medical doctor with a relapsing unilateral CRSC-Central Serous Chorioretinopathy who was treated after an initial medical therapy (oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, oral antihistamines, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - systemic and topical), with an oral aldosterone antagonist-Eplerenone (Inspra), resulted in significant anatomic and visual i...
متن کاملCentral serous chorioretinopathy complicating systemic corticosteroid treatment.
Central serous chorioretinopathy developed in 2 cases of retrobulbar neuritis during systemic treatment with corticosteroids. Fluorescein angiography confirmed leakage surrounded by central serous detachment of the retina. In one case the central serous chorioretinopathy recurred 3 times during 3 separate courses of treatment. Spontaneous recovery accompanied a reduction in steroid treatment to...
متن کاملAtypical Central Serous Chorioretinopathy
Bullous central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) is a rare variant of CSCR characterized by severe serous retinal detachment which especially involves the inferior quadrants. Corticosteroid therapy administered for systemic or ocular misdiagnoses may induce and exacerbate CSCR. The purpose of this study was to report diagnosis and treatment results of an unusual case of bullous CSCR induced by s...
