Rotation capacity of corroded RC beams with special ductility tempcore rebars

The corrosion of reinforced concrete structures influences not only their structural strength but also ductility. In this scenario, the use Special Ductility Tempcore rebars, which belong to highest ductility class, can reduce risk having a brittle failure when occurs. Therefore, paper presents experimental and numerical studies evaluate rotation capacity corroded RC beams with type steel. part consists testing five rupture uses non-linear finite element method correctly model beam’s behaviour. results indicate that for 20% damage, reduced about 50%; however, these values are still higher than Eurocode 2 normalized curve. ultimate load reduces 12%. Nevertheless, affects deflection isostatic much more hyperstatic beams.
