چکیده

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus often affects the kidneys, and its treatment continues to provide new challenges clinicians every day. Proteinuria caused by either direct or indirect podocyte damage is diagnostic of nephritis. Aim: The purpose this study was evaluate prognostic usefulness urinary podocytes in predicting renal complication individuals with SLE. Subjects methods: Twenty SLE participated cross-sectional observational research. Complete history collection, clinical examination, laboratory investigation were performed on all individuals. Podocytes detection urine a kidney biopsy performed. Results: relationship between histological subtype quite significant. Also, significantly positively correlated parameters except albumin negatively correlated. Conclusion: Lupus patients who have may exhibit podocytes, however not indication for nephritis per se. Flares be defined use function tests biopsies.

Urinary excretion of viable podocytes in health and renal disease.

The loss of glomerular visceral epithelial cells (podocytes) has been associated with the development of glomerular sclerosis and loss of renal function. Viability of podocytes recovered from urine of subjects with glomerular disease and of healthy controls was investigated by propidium iodide exclusion and TUNEL staining. Podocyte loss was quantified by cytospin. The growth behavior in culture...

Association of Urinary Lipocalin-2 with Lupus Nephritis

Objective(s): Lupus nephritis (LN) is the main cause of mortality and disability in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. Renal biopsy and the prognosis of lupus nephritis.

At one time the prognosis of lupus nephritis was reported to be dire, with a 2-year survival of under 10 per cent [1]. This outlook was transformed by the advent of renal replacement therapy and effective immunosuppressive treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus. As a result, concern has focussed on whether patients who are at greatest risk of developing progressive renal failure may be iden...
