چکیده

The role of ion-exchange resins (IERs) as catalysts or supports, in hydrogenation reactions is revised and their potential application presented. Both gel-type macroreticular, basic acid, IERs have been used for manifold metal-catalyzed processes gas liquid phase, including alkenes, alkynes, carbonyls, arenes, nitroaromatics, more. When available, qualitative relationships between the morphology structure performance solid supports metal are observed. Noble metals, such Pt, Au, Pd, non-noble Fe Cu, introduced into polymeric backbones by simple a salt precursor with resin, combination other protocols, to obtain mono- bimetallic supported on IERs. High yields towards target product, well recyclability metal-doped IERs, reported literature, low leaching, which makes them highly interesting wide array industrial applications. Multistep reaction processes, involving hydration/cyclization/aldol condensation/etc., constitute promising applications due one-pot synthesis approach relatively temperatures required, adds environmental interest terms process integration optimization.

[Ion exchange resins].

Ion exchange resins have been used to help formulate pharmaceuticals since the late 1950's. During that time they have proved to be safe and effective excipients and are now used in many commercial formulations throughout the world. In this article we will look at some of the common problems faced by formulators and how using ion exchange resins may be able to solve them. Ion exchange resins ar...

Deodorizing experiments with ion exchange resins.

In a previous report (1), the differences in the carbon number of the lower fatty acids contained in cutaneous secretions such as axillary sweat, smegma, and dandruff, were considered as factors responsible for the difference in odor between osmidrotic and non-osmidrotic subjects. Besides these there are ammonia constituents and volatile salts (trimethylamine, methylamine) which may take part i...

Ion-exchange resins as drug delivery carriers.

There are many reports in the literature referring to the utilization of drug bound to ion-exchange resin (drug-resinate), especially in the drug delivery area. Ion-exchange resin complexes, which can be prepared from both acidic and basic drugs, have been widely studied and marketed. Salts of cationic and anionic exchange resins are insoluble complexes in which drug release results from exchan...

Displacement Chromatography on Synthetic Ion - exchange Resins

In Part 1 of this series of papers (Partridge & Westall, 1949) it was shown that, whilst the baseexchange resin Zeo Karb 215 may be used with success for the separation of the neutral and acidic amino-acids, certain difficulties arise when the separation of basic substances is attempted. These difficulties were traced to the phenolic hydroxyl groups of the resin. Resins of the sulphonated pheno...
