چکیده
Background Astrocytes are specialized glial cells that when exposed to inflammatory factors go through a process known as reactive astrogliosis. Reactive astrocytes neuropathological feature of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The etiology AD is often explained by the accumulation β-amyloid peptides, proteolytic product amyloid precursor protein (APP). However, inflammation also plays prominent role in development AD. How astrocytesparticipate pathogenesis remains poorly understood Method To elucidate we exploited different vitro and vivo models investigate Amyloid Precursor setting immune response astrocytes. Result Our results show overexpression APP human cortical induces phenotype, similar found brains patients. These produce significantly increased levels INF-g comparison with control Similar positive correlation between from transgenic traumatic brain injury mice models. Conclusion data indicate activated high APP, which promotes production secretion interferons recapitulates salient features

P135: The Role of Amyloid Beta-Peptides and Tau Protein in Alzheimer\'s Disease
Alzheimer's desease is the most common age-related neurodegenerative disorder, and cognitive problems such as defects in learning and memory are of its symptoms. Among the factors involved in the pathogenesis of the disease are biochemical disorders in protein production, oxidative stress, decreased acetylcholine secretion and inflammation of the brain tissue. Extra-neuronal accumulation ...

Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of age-related dementia and is one of the most rapidly increasing diseases worldwide (Agahi et al., 2018, Azm et al., 2017). There are over 50 million people worldwide living with Alzheimer's disease. The prevalence of Alzheimer's disease is predicted to more than 100 million in 2050.

متن کاملSenile plaque neurites in Alzheimer disease accumulate amyloid precursor protein.
Senile plaques are polymorphous beta-amyloid protein deposits found in the brain in Alzheimer disease and normal aging. This beta-amyloid protein is derived from a larger precursor molecule of which neurons are the principal producers in brain. We found that amyloid precursor protein (APP)-immunoreactive neurites were involved in senile plaques and that only a subset of these neurites showed ma...
متن کاملNeurodegeneration in Alzheimer Disease: Role of Amyloid Precursor Protein and Presenilin 1 Intracellular Signaling
Alzheimer disease (AD) is a heterogeneous neurodegenerative disorder characterized by (1) progressive loss of synapses and neurons, (2) intracellular neurofibrillary tangles, composed of hyperphosphorylated Tau protein, and (3) amyloid plaques. Genetically, AD is linked to mutations in few proteins amyloid precursor protein (APP) and presenilin 1 and 2 (PS1 and PS2). The molecular mechanisms un...
