Robustness versus sensitivity in non-Hermitian topological lattices probed by pseudospectra

چکیده
Non-Hermitian topological systems simultaneously possess two antagonistic features: ultrasensitivity due to exceptional points and robustness of zero-energy modes, it is unclear which one prevails under different perturbations. We study that question by applying the pseudospectrum theory on prototypical non-Hermitian Su-Schrieffer-Heeger lattice. Topological modes around underlying third-order point (EP3) are robust with respect chiral perturbations but sensitive diagonal In fact, exactly at EP3 symmetry leads a suppressed sensitivity, corresponds an EP2. Finally, for nonlinearly induced we provide connection between approach nonlinear phase shift, relevant experiments.

Topological Residuated Lattices
In this paper, we study the separtion axioms $T_0,T_1,T_2$ and $T_{5/2}$ on topological and semitopological residuated lattices and we show that they are equivalent on topological residuated lattices. Then we prove that for every infinite cardinal number $alpha$, there exists at least one nontrivial Hausdorff topological residuated lattice of cardinality $alpha$. In the follows, we obtain some ...
متن کاملRobust light transport in non-Hermitian photonic lattices
Combating the effects of disorder on light transport in micro- and nano-integrated photonic devices is of major importance from both fundamental and applied viewpoints. In ordinary waveguides, imperfections and disorder cause unwanted back-reflections, which hinder large-scale optical integration. Topological photonic structures, a new class of optical systems inspired by quantum Hall effect an...
متن کاملOn generalized topological molecular lattices
In this paper, we introduce the concept of the generalized topological molecular lattices as a generalization of Wang's topological molecular lattices, topological spaces, fuzzy topological spaces, L-fuzzy topological spaces and soft topological spaces. Topological molecular lattices were defined by closed elements, but in this new structure we present the concept of the open elements and defi...
متن کاملTopological transition in a non-Hermitian quantum walk.
We analyze a quantum walk on a bipartite one-dimensional lattice, in which the particle can decay whenever it visits one of the two sublattices. The corresponding non-Hermitian tight-binding problem with a complex potential for the decaying sites exhibits two different phases, distinguished by a winding number defined in terms of the Bloch eigenstates in the Brillouin zone. We find that the mea...
متن کاملTemporal solitonic crystals and non-hermitian informational lattices.
Clusters of temporal optical solitons--stable self-localized light pulses preserving their form during propagation--exhibit properties characteristic of that encountered in crystals. Here, we introduce the concept of temporal solitonic information crystals formed by the lattices of optical pulses with variable phases. The proposed general idea offers new approaches to optical coherent transmiss...
