Robust Control for Optimized Islanded and Grid-Connected Operation of Solar/Wind/Battery Hybrid Energy

Wind and solar energy systems are among the most promising renewable technologies for electric power generations. Hybrid (HRES) enable incorporation of more than one technology, allowing increased reliability efficiency. Nevertheless, introduction variable generation sources in concurrence with existing system load demand necessitates maintaining balance between components HRES. Additionally, efficiency hybrid supply is drastically affected by number converters interfacing its components. Therefore, to improve performance HRES, this paper proposes a robust sliding mode control strategy both standalone grid-connected operation. The achieves maximum point tracking stabilizes DC-bus voltages irrespective disturbances, change demand, variations irradiance level, temperature, wind speed ensuring an efficient management. Furthermore, PV directly linked obviating need redundant boost decreased costs reduced losses. Lyapunov candidate function used prove asymptotic stability convergence entire system. robustness proposed tested validated under various conditions demonstrating efficacy
