چکیده
Abstract. Advances in geodetic altimetry instruments are providing more accurate measurements, thus enabling satellite missions to produce useful data for narrow rivers and streams. Altimetry spatially dense land water surface elevation (WSE) measurements remote areas where situ scarce that can be combined with hydraulic and/or hydrodynamic models simulate WSE estimate discharge. In this study, we combine ICESat-2 (Ice, Cloud Elevation Satellite) a low-parameterized calibration discharge without the need surveyed cross-sectional geometry rainfall–runoff model. provides an opportunity map river very accurately, along-track resolution of 0.7 m, using ATL03 product. These inland product ATL13 calibrate steady-state model retrieve unobserved parameters such as depth or roughness coefficient. The model, together assumption hydraulics, enables application global search algorithm uniform parameter at manageable computational cost. performance is similar reported highly parameterized models, root mean square error (RMSE) around 0.41 m. With calibrated calculate time series any chainage point available pass within reach from WSE. estimates validated two gauging stations. addition, use full simulation, resulting RMSE 0.59 m entire observation period.

Modeling the relationship between land use and surface water quality.
It is widely known that watershed hydrology is dependent on many factors, including land use, climate, and soil conditions. But the relative impacts of different types of land use on the surface water are yet to be ascertained and quantified. This research attempted to use a comprehensive approach to examine the hydrologic effects of land use at both a regional and a local scale. Statistical an...

[1] Total freeboard (snow and ice) of the Arctic Ocean sea ice cover is derived using Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) data from two 35-day periods: one during the fall (October November) of 2005 and the other during the winter (February March) of 2006. Three approaches are used to identify near-sea-surface tiepoints. Thin ice or open water samples in new openings, typically wi...
متن کاملThe Relevance of GLAS/ICESat Elevation Data for the Monitoring of River Networks
The Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) laser altimetry mission from 2003 to 2008 provided an important dataset for elevation measurements. The quality of GLAS/ICESat (Geoscience Laser Altimeter System) data was investigated for Lake Leman in Switzerland and France by comparing laser data to hydrological gauge water levels. The correction of GLAS/ICESat waveform saturation successf...
متن کاملA Survey of ICESat Coastal Altimetry Applications: Continental Coast, Open Ocean Island, and Inland River
ICESat satellite laser altimetry provides an unprecedented set of global elevation measurements of the Earth, yielding great detail over ice, land and ocean surfaces. Coastal regions in particular, including seamless land-water transitions, benefit from the small footprint (50 to 90 m), high resolution (40 Hz, ~170 m along-track), and high precision (2 to 3 cm) of ICESat. We discuss the perform...
