Risk of injury analysis in depth jump and squat jump

چکیده

Introduction: The depth jump (DJ) and squat (SJ) are accepted ways to assess train power producing ability but not without risk of injury. Methods: Sixteen male participants (age = 21.7 ± 1.54 yrs., height 177.7 11.4 cm, mass 77.7 13.6 kg) were evaluated for exertion capabilities while being assessed injury in the knee low back through a range resistances based on percentage participants’ heights DJ (0% 50%) bodyweights SJ 100%). Two variables used knee: valgus angle internal abduction moment (IAM). Four back: compression shear force at L5/S1 vertebrae, intra-abdominal pressure (IAP), erector muscle tension. Results: With increasing drop height, showed increased IAM. In back, significant correlation occurred between IAP tension more correlated with than height. resistance, no was detected. However, all except significantly influenced by resistance. Conclusion: Risk can be strongly dependent only type jump, also amount resulting exerted athlete influence

The influence of squat depth on maximal vertical jump performance.

An increase in the period over which a muscle generates force can lead to the generation of greater force and, therefore, for example in jumping, to greater jump height. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of squat depth on maximum vertical jump performance. We hypothesized that jump height would increase with increasing depth of squat due to the greater time available for the gener...

Biomechanical Analysis of Squat and Counter Movement Jump in Skater

Recently, the practice of skateboarding is becoming increasingly popular among the younger generation, so as to count the number of practitioners worldwide of about 18.5 million in 2002, of which 12.4 million people in the United States of America [1]. In Italy, despite the small size of the phenomenon, there is a number of practitioners who were able to achieve significant results at the inter...

A biomechanical comparison of the vertical jump, power clean, and jump squat.

The purpose of this study was to compare the kinetics, kinematics, and muscle activation patterns of the countermovement jump, the power clean, and the jump squat with the expectation of gaining a better understanding of the mechanism of transfer from the power clean to the vertical jump. Ground reaction forces, electromyography, and joint angle data were collected from 20 trained participants ...

Neuromechanical strategies employed to increase jump height during the initiation of the squat jump.

The maximal height attained in a vertical jump is heavily influenced by the execution of a large countermovement prior to the upward motion. When a jump must be executed without a countermovement, as in a squat jump, the maximal jump height is reduced. During such conditions, the human body may use other strategies in order to increase performance. The purpose of this research was to investigat...

Difference in the Recruitment of Hip and Knee Muscles between Back Squat and Plyometric Squat Jump

Athletes who aim to improve both muscular endurance and power often perform exercises that involve similar joint actions under different lifting conditions, such as changes in the load or speed, which are implemented at different times during a periodized exercise program or simultaneously. The prescribed exercises are considered to recruit the same muscles even if the lifting conditions differ...
