Risk Factors for Invasive Cervical Cancer among Distinct Populations in Low Resource Countries

Background: Cervical carcinoma is the commonly known leading malignancy that has highest prevalence in developing countries. It shares second rank world of cancer. The 80% cases cervical cancer countries are reported. reported one woman die from this after every two minutes. Objective: To identify risk factors associated with (CC). role human papillomavirus (HPV) aetiology was also evaluated. Study design: a hospital based case-control study. Material and Methods: total 226 ICC were included study 234 female kept control group. conducted at Divisional Headquarter Teaching Hospital Mirpur AJK May 2020 to 2022. PCR used for evaluation HPV DNA cells. Multiple logistic models compute 95% confidence intervals CIs odd ratios ORs. all women except infection. Results: 23 different types ICC. 16 present most patients either belong case or group followed by 18 33. stronger association ratio single infection higher than multiple infections. Other such like early menopause, high parity husband extramarital sexual affairs Conclusion: level considered significant because lack knowledge about other factors.
