On radical formula and Prufer domains
In this paper we characterize the radical of an arbitrary submodule $N$ of a finitely generated free module $F$ over a commutatitve ring $R$ with identity. Also we study submodules of $F$ which satisfy the radical formula. Finally we derive necessary and sufficient conditions for $R$ to be a Pr$ddot{mbox{u}}$fer domain, in terms of the radical of a cyclic submodule in $Rbigopl...
متن کاملInterpolatory Product Integration for Riemann-integrable Functions
Conditions are found for the convergence of interpolatory product integration rules and the corresponding companion rules for the class of Riemann-integrable functions. These conditions are used to prove convergence for several classes of rules based on sets of zeros of orthogonal polynomials possibly augmented by one or both of the endpoints of the integration interval.
متن کاملThe Riemann Mapping Theorem for semianalytic domains and o-minimality
We consider the Riemann Mapping Theorem in the case of a bounded simply connected and semianalytic domain. We show that the germ at 0 of the Riemann map (i.e. bihilomorphic map) from the upper half plane to such a domain can be realized in a certain quasianalytic class used by Ilyashenko in his work on Hilbert’s 16 problem if the angle of the domain at the boundary point to which 0 is mapped, i...
متن کاملNarrow Escape, Part III: Non-Smooth Domains and Riemann Surfaces
We consider the narrow escape problem in two-dimensional Riemannian manifolds (with a metric g) with corners and cusps, in an annulus, and on a sphere. Specifically, we calculate the mean time it takes a Brownian particle diffusing in a domain to reach an absorbing window when the ratio ε = |∂ a |g |∂ |g between the absorbing window and the otherwise reflecting boundary is small. If the boundar...
متن کاملSpaces of Riemann Surfaces as Bounded Domains by Lipman Bers
1. A surface of type (g, n) is a surface 5 obtained by removing n*zO distinct points from a closed Riemann surface of genus g\ we assume always that 3g — 3+n>0. Such a surface 5 is marked by choosing a homotopy class [ƒ] of orientation preserving homeomorphisms ƒ of 5 onto a fixed reference surface So. Two marked surfaces (Si, [ft]) a n d (S2, [ƒ2]) are equivalent if there is a conformai mappin...
