Rice Husk Ash in Concrete

چکیده
This study conducted an extensive literature review on rice husk ash (RHA), with a focus its particle properties and their effects the fresh, mechanical, durability of concrete when used as partial cement replacement. The pozzolanic property RHA is determined by amorphous silica content, specific surface area, fineness, which can be improved using controlled combustion grinding for use in concrete. microstructures are typically irregular shape, porous structures surface, non-uniform dispersion, discrete throughout. Because has finer size than cement, blended performs well terms fresh (workability, consistency, setting time). Due to involvement reactions, mechanical (compressive, tensile, flexural strength) RHA-containing increase increasing content up certain optimum level. Furthermore, (water absorption, chloride resistance, corrosion sulphate resistance). potential replace 10% 20% without compromising performance due high properties. replacement thus provide additional environmental benefits, such resource conservation agricultural waste management, while also contributing circular economy construction industry.

Marine Durability Characteristics of Rice Husk Ash-Modified Reinforced Concrete
This paper addresses the potential use of Rice Husk Ash (RHA) as a cementitious material in concrete mixes. RHA is produced from the burning of rice husk which is a byproduct of rice milling. The ash content is about 18-22% by weight of the rice husks. Research has shown that concrete made with RHA as a partial cement substitute to levels of 10% to 20% by weight of cement has superior performan...
متن کاملEvaluation of Coal Waste Ash and Rice Husk Ash on Properties of Pervious Concrete Pavement
The use of pervious concrete has been significantly considered in recent years. This consideration is due to the properties of pervious concrete in relating to the environmental sustainability that is utilized in the effective management of the runoff from rainfall. Coal extraction and rice husk obtained from milling, produces wastes that have no application and followed by environmental pollut...
متن کاملBagasse ash and rice husk ash as cement replacement in self-compacting concrete
In studies conducted to determine the workability of concrete, the bagasse ash and rice husk ash were added as a partial replacement for cement. Trial mixes with the varying water cement ratio, replacement percentage, quantity of super plasticizer and viscosity modifying agent, were prepared and tested. The results were used as the basis for defining three optimum cement replacement mix proport...
