چکیده

Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is gained from road reconstructions; however, its usage less optimised in Hungary and neighbouring regions, since on the project level proportion of RAP mixes only 10-15%. This than recommended other EU countries. The higher provides economic environmental advantages, decreasing need for new materials, transport cost, carbon footprint. composition resultant bituminous binder blend a critical element mix design with high RA content. paper discusses to provide performance compliance characterisation. also presents complex rheological analysis base bitumen, bitumen extracted blend, applying dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) device. It was shown that paving grade (B), polymer modified (PmB) rubber (GmB), addition proportions content possible without compromising blend. With carefully chosen it utilise up 40% For limit 20%. various contents showed no or negligible changes characteristics can reach 30% this case.

Characterization and Micromechanical Investigation of Recycled Asphalt Shingle Binder Blends

The sustainability movement has established a firm foothold in the Civil Engineering profession. The use of recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) is the latest development in the world of asphalt pavement sustainability. The relative abundance of tear-off shingles and their high asphalt content is driving RAS usage in highway and airfield pavements. However, the ultimate objective of any pavement sys...

Rheological Characterization of Bituminous Binder containing Wax based Warm Mix Asphalt Additive

Warm mix asphalt (WMA) has been gaining increasing popularity in recent years due to energy savings and environmental benefits. The mechanism of WMA is to use some additives or technologies to reduce the viscosity of bitumen and to modify the rheological behavior of bituminous binders, and thus improve the workability of the mixture at lower temperature. In this study a paraffin wax based addit...

Characterization of Hot Bituminous-Asphalt Mixtures with Recycled Polyurethane Foam

Received: June 06, 2017 Revised: July 05, 2017 Accepted: July 19, 2017 Abstract: Introduction: The use of polymer wastes in pavement as road is an increasing trend in the road construction sector. Those new pavements reduce the amount of solid waste disposed into landfills and provide more sustainable construction due to the use of in-situ materials. Polyurethane foam waste is a thermostable po...
