RhAGL24 Regulating Auxin-Related Gene RhARF18 Affects Stamen Petaloidy in Rose

چکیده
AGAMOUS-LIKE 24 (AGL24) is a key gene regulating floral transition, but its involvement in flower organ identity remains largely unknown. In this study, we found that RhAGL24 strongly related to petal and stamen development rose. Its expression increases rapidly at the primordium stage maintains high level until complete differentiation stage. silencing number of malformed petals decreases stamens, indicating affects petaloidy. RhAG (AGAMOUS), class C associated with development, downregulated RhAGL24-silenced plants. Moreover, could directly bind promoter region RhARF18 (AUXIN RESPONSE FACTORS 18), regulator RhAG. Our results suggested RhAGL24-RhARF18 module regulates petaloidy rose provide new insights into function AGL24 for

Auxin regulation of late stamen development.
Pollination in self-fertilizing plants depends on the proper timing of filament elongation, anther dehiscence, and pollen maturation so that pollen grains capable of germination are deposited on the stigma surface. Auxin is known to be necessary for stamen development. For example, Cheng et al. (2006) found that stamen development is halted in the Arabidopsis auxin biosynthesis-defective mutant...
متن کاملADP1 Affects Plant Architecture by Regulating Local Auxin Biosynthesis
Plant architecture is one of the key factors that affect plant survival and productivity. Plant body structure is established through the iterative initiation and outgrowth of lateral organs, which are derived from the shoot apical meristem and root apical meristem, after embryogenesis. Here we report that ADP1, a putative MATE (multidrug and toxic compound extrusion) transporter, plays an esse...
متن کاملThe homeotic protein AGAMOUS controls late stamen development by regulating a jasmonate biosynthetic gene in Arabidopsis.
The Arabidopsis thaliana floral homeotic gene AGAMOUS (AG) plays a central role in reproductive organ (stamen and carpel) development. AG RNA is expressed in the center of floral primordia from a time prior to the initiation of stamen and carpel primordia until late in flower development. While early AG expression acts in specification of stamens and carpels, the role, if any, of continued AG e...

In a screen for enhancers of tir1-1 auxin resistance, we identified two novel alleles of the putative mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase E1alpha-subunit, IAA-Alanine Resistant4 (IAR4). In addition to enhancing the auxin response defects of tir1-1, iar4 single mutants exhibit numerous auxin-related phenotypes including auxin-resistant root growth and reduced lateral root development, as well a...
متن کاملAuxin polar transport in stamen formation and development: how many actors?
In flowering plants, proper development of stamens, the male reproductive organs, is required for successful sexual reproduction. In Arabidopsis thaliana normally six stamen primordia arise in the third whorl of floral organs and subsequently differentiate into stamen filaments and anthers, where male meiosis occurs, thus ending the early developmental phase. This early phase is followed by a l...
