چکیده

Nisitrus Saussure, 1878 is a diurnal and monophyletic group of eneopterine crickets found in parts Southeast Asia. Species often have vivid colourations which make them charismatic photograph subjects among macro photographers. However, their taxonomy has not been revised since original descriptions, whereas there are also species awaiting to be discovered described. A synoptic revision therefore needed prior studying the phylogenetic relationships genus, before undertaking more precise studies on biogeography evolution traits. By holistically incorporating information about general morphology, male female genitalia, bioacoustics, we revise these recognise 10 valid Nisitrus. Five new described: N. crucius Robillard & Tan sp. nov. from Borneo; danum hughtani Sumatra; malaya Malay Peninsula; rindu Borneo. We redescribe brunnerianus insignis; describe calls nov., musicus vittatus. consider sumatrensis as junior synonym marginata hyalinus requires further revision. maculosus dubious name.
