چکیده
Abstract The structural health monitoring (SHM) and damage detection of offshore platforms, one the most common marine structures operating in a hostile environment, have gained global attention recent years. This paper presents review vibration-based identification methods used for SHM platforms. application progress these are discussed some case studies analyzed. challenges future work summarized.

متن کاملAn Active Sensing Platform for Wireless Structural Health Monitoring
This paper presents SHiMmer, a wireless platform for active sensing that combines localized processing with energy harvesting to provide long-lived structural health monitoring. The life-cycle of the node is extended to 20 years by the use of super-capacitors for energy storage. During this period the node is expected to work completely maintenance-free. The node is capable of harvesting up to ...
متن کاملDrone-Type Wall-Climbing Robot Platform for Structural Health Monitoring
Though civil structures need constant maintenance and inspection of the structural health condition and safety of the users, the accessibility is getting harder and harder because of their gigantic height and size. To overcome this problem, several approaches for wall-climbing mechanism have been introduced for many decades; however, there is no assured solution yet. One of the reasons why exis...
متن کاملA Wireless Mobile Sensor Platform for Structural Health Monitoring
Modern system identification (SID) procedures rely on fixed sensor networks for data collection. Ideally, sensors are fixed at locations and contain profitable structural responses, however, such sensing areas are often limited by the accessibility of the structure and environmental hazards. Not only are fixed sensor placements limited, the data contains restricted spatial information. Mobile s...
متن کاملStructural health monitoring sensor development for the Imote2 platform
The declining state of civil infrastructure has motivated researchers to seek effective methods for real-time structural health monitoring (SHM). Decentralized computing and data aggregation employing smart sensors allow the deployment of a dense array of sensors throughout a structure. The Imote2, developed by Intel, provides enhanced computation and communication resources that allow demandin...
