Review on Genetic and Breeding for Low -N tolerance in Maize

چکیده
Low soil nitrogen (Low N) is one of the major abiotic stresses causing maize yield reduction in tropics Africa. However, genetic variation observed under low N and crossing among adaptive/NUE elite lines should be targeted for different secondary traits, economic disease inheritance studies breeding maize. In addition, drought have common traits indicating that adaptive mechanism thus, appear to develop genotypes tolerance stress such exhibited high performance condition across environments, likely good subsistence farmers Africa production. Multiple QTLs detected high-nitrogen conditions grain per plant, physiological traits. a direct use these has been less achieved program, because eQTLs. Thus, stable validated fine mapping or GWAS method detect candidate genes controlling NUE Keyword : N, genotypes, NUE, DOI: 10.7176/JNSR/12-1-04 Publication date: January 31 st 2021

Use of Genomic Estimated Breeding Values Results in Rapid Genetic Gains for Drought Tolerance in Maize.
More than 80% of the 19 million ha of maize ( L.) in tropical Asia is rainfed and prone to drought. The breeding methods for improving drought tolerance (DT), including genomic selection (GS), are geared to increase the frequency of favorable alleles. Two biparental populations (CIMMYT-Asia Population 1 [CAP1] and CAP2) were generated by crossing elite Asian-adapted yellow inbreds (CML470 and V...
متن کاملBreeding Maize for Drought Tolerance in the US Corn-Belt
The objective of this review is to promote discussion on some of the key issues we consider to be involved in successful long-term genetic improvement of corn for drought tolerance. Many of the concepts have been discussed elsewhere for different crops, traits and different breeding targets. Here we focus on how to organize a comprehensive effort to enable breeding for drought tolerance in a he...

Salinity stress limits crop yield affecting plant growth and restricting the use of land. As world population is increasing at alarming rate, agricultural land is shrinking due to industrialization and/or habitat use. Hence, there is a need to utilize salt affected land to meet the food requirement. Although some success has been achieved through conventional breeding but its use is limited due...

A territorial isolation is a danger to the game population, causing deterioration called the inbreeding depression. The typical signs are anomalous body proportions, such as short lower jaw, shortened lifetime, weak physique and lower birth rate. This is caused by low number of game in the community. White colored deer is in the location of the CzechRepublicbred in separation since 18th century...
