The Chinese rice–fish–duck symbiosis system is one of the globally important agricultural heritage systems, with a history nearly thousand years. It embodies wisdom ancestors and has huge comprehensive value, which extremely references for sustainable development agriculture. technological core lies in selection rice, fish, duck varieties coupling operation time. In process modern agriculture, many high benefits have also been applied to system, model further developed. What worrying that transfer rural labor, promotion technology, low degree marketization industrialization, weakening cultural awareness, change climate posed threats challenges traditional system. protection are urgently needed. Therefore, we recommend delimiting active areas, establishing scientific research bases, improving relevant developing tourism markets, innovating farming provide guidance protecting other heritages.
