چکیده
While great strides have been made within the medical community to combat spread, mortality, and morbidity of SARS-CoV-2, there remains need for identifying effective therapeutics given ever-evolving nature virus. Given growing number variants, it is important that providers are up date on most recent evidence-based management SARS-CoV-2. Fortunately, progress in antivirals monoclonal antibodies demonstrated success as outpatient patients at-risk poor disease outcomes. This article reviews approved SARS-CoV-2 conjunction with recently updated guidelines from World Health Organization, Infectious Disease Society America, National Institutes Health, United States Food Drug Administration. Monoclonal Casirivimab plus Imdevimab Bamlanivimab Etesevimab no longer recommended a therapeutic Omicron variant. Paxlovid, an antiviral, Sotrovimab, antibody, considered therapy choice patients. Remdesivir reasonable alternative but has intravenous limitations. Molnupiravir only indicated should all other be either unavailable or contraindicated.
