Reverse dynamic nuclear polarisation for indirect detection of nuclear spins close to unpaired electrons

چکیده

Abstract. Polarisation transfer schemes and indirect detection are central to magnetic resonance. Using the trityl radical OX063 a pulse electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometer operating in Q-band (35 GHz, 1.2 T), we show here that it is possible use pulsed dynamic nuclear polarisation (DNP) from electrons protons back. The latter achieved by first saturating then simply using reverse DNP step. A variable mixing time between allows us investigate decay of on vicinity electrons. We qualitatively influence solvent deuteration, temperature, concentration. expect be useful investigation spin diffusion envisage its electron–nuclear double-resonance (ENDOR) experiments.

Dynamic nuclear polarization with single electron spins.

We polarize nuclear spins in a GaAs double quantum dot by controlling two-electron spin states near the anticrossing of the singlet (S) and m(S)= +1 triplet (T+) using pulsed gates. An initialized S state is cyclically brought into resonance with the T+ state, where hyperfine fields drive rapid rotations between S and T+, "flipping" an electron spin and "flopping" a nuclear spin. The resulting ...

Nuclear spins in nanostructures

We review recent theoretical and experimental advances toward understanding the effects of nuclear spins in confined nanostructures. These systems, which include quantum dots, defect centers, and molecular magnets, are particularly interesting for their importance in quantum information processing devices, which aim to coherently manipulate single electron spins with high precision. On one hand...

Dynamic nuclear polarisation NMR of nanosized zirconium phosphate polymer fillers.

Surface functionalisation with organic modifiers of multi-layered zirconium phosphate (ZrP) nanoparticles used as polymer fillers can be directly probed by dynamic nuclear polarisation NMR, which provides unambiguous evidence of the presence of P-O-C chemical bonds at the surface of the ZrP layers, thereby confirming successful functionalisation.

New techniques in nuclear medicine for tumor detection [Persian]

Widespread studies on tumor diagnosis has led to the development of techniques with greater sensitivity and improved specificity for detection of occult and small subclinical tumors. Tumor imaging by radiolabeling of tumor-specific antibodies (Immunoscintigraphy) or tissue specific biochemical agents (Receptor imaging) and especially physiologic imaging with positron emitters (PET), have ...

Optically induced dynamic nuclear spin polarisation in diamond

The sensitivity of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) depends strongly on nuclear spin polarisation and, motivated by this observation, dynamical nuclear spin polarisation has recently been applied to enhance MRI protocols (Kurhanewicz, J., et al., Neoplasia 13, 81 (2011)). Nuclear spins associated with the C carbon isotope (nuclear spin I = 1/2) in diamond possess uniquely long spin lattice rela...
