چکیده
Abstract Purpose The effects of endophytic actinobacterial strains, Microbispora sp. CP56, Actinomadura CP84B, Streptomyces spp. CP200B and CP21A, on the chickpea- Mesorhizobium symbiosis, were investigated in planta , with aim revealing underlying mechanisms action. Methods endophytes co-inoculated ciceri onto chickpea seedlings to study effect plant growth parameters, nodulation development grain yield. role exudates rhizobial was investigated, as root actinobacteria-colonized plants expression nod factors biofilm formation. Changes flavonoids bacterial N-fixation genes resulting from co-inoculation assessed using qPCR. Results Application endophytes, together M. showed promotion an increase nodule number weight. Enhanced accompanied by increases total nitrogen, larger weight a 2–3-fold Factors associated this tripartite symbiosis are growth, earlier formation, increased secondary up-regulated related flavonoid synthesis nif genes. In addition, roots colonised actinobacteria nodulation-related biological processes - chemotaxis, formation gene expression. Conclusion These positively affect many aspects Similar improvements recorded growing potted field soils, shows potential enhance production field.

GENETIC DIVERGENCE IN CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.)
Genetic diversity of 27 chickpea genotypes was studied through Mahalanobis D and Principal Component analysis. The genotypes under study fall into five clusters. The cluster II contained the highest number of genotypes (11) and Cluster I contained the lowest. Cluster I produced the highest mean value for number of pods per plant. The inter cluster distances were much higher than the intra clust...

متن کاملDissecting the Root Nodule Transcriptome of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)
A hallmark trait of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), like other legumes, is the capability to convert atmospheric nitrogen (N2) into ammonia (NH3) in symbiotic association with Mesorhizobium ciceri. However, the complexity of molecular networks associated with the dynamics of nodule development in chickpea need to be analyzed in depth. Hence, in order to gain insights into the chickpea nodule dev...
متن کاملCharacterising root trait variability in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) germplasm
Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is an important grain legume crop but its sustainable production is challenged by predicted climate changes, which are likely to increase production limitations and uncertainty in yields. Characterising the variability in root architectural traits in a core collection of chickpea germplasm will provide the basis for breeding new germplasm with suitable root traits ...

The seeds of ten different genotypes of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) originated from Egypt, ICARDA and Saudi Arabia, were used to screen their tissue culture response on various media combination. MS media supplemented with 1, 2 and 4 mg of each of IBA and transzeatin /l, were tested. The results showed that stem results were far better from leaves explants. The callus induction ranged from 6....
