چکیده
Patients with Calreticulin ( CALR) mutation positive essential thrombocythemia are often thought of as having a “low-risk” thrombotic complications. This report examines case patient CALR-mutation presenting peripheral retinal ischemia and subsequent neovascularization. had 2-year documented history maximum platelet count over 800,000 cells/µL. Fluorescein angiogram showed significant leakage in the areas vascular lesions nonperfusion consistent The was treated photocoagulation to avascular retina. At 6-month follow-up, some regression neovascularization noted no signs progression retinopathy. Furthermore, patients can present secondary due microvascular events. Identification these changes is important for guiding medical procedural interventions order preserve vision.

Essential thrombocythemia: a rare case of central retinal artery occlusion.
Essential thrombocythemia is a myeloproliferative disorder with an increased amount of abnormal platelets, causing both hemorrhagic and thrombotic pathology. Some of its systemic complications include deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary emboli, myocardial infarcts, and renal vessel thrombosis among others. We present the rare case of a woman suffering from essential thrombocythemia with the sudden ...
متن کاملEssential thrombocythemia
Essential thrombocythemia (ET) is an acquired myeloproliferative disorder (MPD) characterized by a sustained elevation of platelet number with a tendency for thrombosis and hemorrhage. The prevalence in the general population is approximately 30/100,000. The median age at diagnosis is 65 to 70 years, but the disease may occur at any age. The female to male ratio is about 2:1. The clinical pictu...

this thesis aims to adduce an unmitigated and comprehensive explication concerning the relationship of three significant elements of fiction: setting, chracter and theme. my research is basically placed on two outstanding novels of the 19th century: emily brontes wuthering heights and thomas hardys return of the native. my endeavour lies in studying the correlation among the three above-mention...
15 صفحه اولThrombospondin in essential thrombocythemia.
Essential thrombocythemia is a myeloproliferative disorder characterized by frequent bleeding and thrombotic complications. On a molecular level, two abnormalities of platelet thrombospondin have been identified: abnormal glycosylation of the intact 185,000-dalton chain has been detected and a shortened form of the thrombospondin chain is present. We have used two monoclonal antibodies and Lens...
متن کاملFamilial Essential Thrombocythemia Associated with MPL W515L Mutation in Father and JAK2 V617F Mutation in Daughter
Familial essential thrombocythemia features the acquisition of somatic mutations and an evolution similar to the sporadic form of the disease. Here we report two patients-father and daughter-with essential thrombocythemia who displayed a heterogeneous pattern of somatic mutations. The JAK2 V617F mutation was found in the daughter, while the father harbored the MPL W515L mutation. This case repo...
