چکیده
This paper reports on a comprehensive investigation of gyroid lattice structures subject to impact loading. AlSi10Mg samples were manufactured using selective laser melting (SLM) and mechanically characterized Digital Image Correlation (DIC). Universal testing machines, drop weight rig, split pressure Hopkinson bar used characterize the aluminium alloy at strain rates ranging from, ??=10?3s?1 up 5500 s?1. Gyroid tested in drop-weight rig different conditions, where tests results validated by FE analysis. These tests, measurements, analysis enabled development modified isosurface equation, providing an opportunity investigate their response, wall thickness, unit cell size, curvature studied low-velocity conditions. The indicate that changes topology substantially affect its performance.

A New Approach to Buckling Analysis of Lattice Composite Structures
Buckling strength of composite latticed cylindrical shells is one of the important parameters for studying the failure of these structures. In this paper, new governing differential equations are derived for latticed cylindrical shells and their critical buckling axial loads. The nested structure under compressive axial buckling load was analyzed. Finite Element Method (FEM) was applied to mode...
متن کاملTOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION OF STRUCTURES UNDER TRANSIENT LOADS
In this article, an efficient methodology is presented to optimize the topology of structural systems under transient loads. Equivalent static loads concept is used to deal with transient loads and to solve an alternate quasi-static optimization problem. The maximum strain energy of the structure under the transient load during the loading interval is used as objective function. The objective f...
متن کاملDegree of Bending (DoB) in Tubular KT-Joints of Jacket Structures Subjected to Axial Loads
The fatigue life of tubular joints commonly found in offshore industry is not only dependent on the value of Hot-spot stress (HSS), but is also significantly influenced by the through-the-thickness stress distribution characterized by the degree of bending (DoB). The determination of DoB values in a tubular joint is essential for improving the accuracy of fatigue life estimation using the stres...

where k1 and k2 are the principal curvatures. These surfaces are called intermaterial dividing surfaces (IMDS).Beside a number of unconnected periodic arranged IMDSs (e.g. spheres, lamellae and cylinders), multicontinuous triply periodic surfaces exist which are of particular interest, see Chap. 1. A bicontinuous (tricontinuous) triply periodic IMDS separates space into two (three) regions, for...
