چکیده
Abstract The frequency of extreme wave events is increasing with climate change. temporal and spatial variations height affect both human livelihood the usage ocean resources. South China Sea northern Indian Ocean support coastal communities high population density, varied terrain structures wind systems. This study focuses on significant in Ocean. Using nonstationary generalized value analysis, trends for a 100-year return period were obtained both. most rapid increase was found to be 0.015 m yr-1 Arabian Sea; however, fell mouth Bay Bengal. After analyzing possible causes influence factors, we that dominated by local wind-waves similarly, affected swell. NINO3.4 index shows good correlation because typhoons are related this area. southern Bengal have correlations Asian summer monsoon index.

متن کاملSensitivity of Sediment Magnetic Records to Climate Change during Holocene for the Northern South China Sea
Magnetic property has been proved to be a sensitive proxy to climate change for both terrestrial and marine sediments. Based on the schedule frame established by AMS 14C dating of foraminifera, detail magnetic analyses were performed for core PC24 sediments at sampling intervals of 2 cm to discuss magnetic sensitivity of marine sediment to climate during Holocene for the northern South China Se...
