Quasimodes and Resonances: Sharp Lower Bounds
We prove that, asymptotically, any cluster of quasimodes close to each other approximates at least the same number of resonances, counting multiplicities. As a consequence, we get that the counting function of the number of resonances close to the real axis is bounded from below essentially by the counting function of the quasimodes.
متن کاملRestriction Bounds for the Free Resolvent and Resonances in Lossy Scattering
We establish high energy L estimates for the restriction of the free Green’s function to hypersurfaces in R, d ≥ 1. As an application, we estimate the size of a logarithmic resonance free region for scattering by potentials of the form V ⊗ δΓ, where Γ ⊂ R is a finite union of compact subsets of embedded hypersurfaces. In odd dimensions we prove a resonance expansion for solutions to the wave eq...
متن کاملEquivalence of resolvent and scattering resonances on quantum graphs
We discuss resonances for Schrödinger operators on metric graphs which consists of a finite compact part and a finite number of halflines attached to it; the vertex coupling is assumed to be of the δ-type or certain modifications of it. Using exterior complex scaling on the graph we show that the resolvent and scattering resonances coincide in this case.
متن کاملUpper and lower bounds of symmetric division deg index
Symmetric Division Deg index is one of the 148 discrete Adriatic indices that showed good predictive properties on the testing sets provided by International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry. Symmetric Division Deg index is defined by $$ SDD(G) = sumE left( frac{min{d_u,d_v}}{max{d_u,d_v}} + frac{max{d_u,d_v}}{min{d_u,d_v}} right), $$ where $d_i$ is the degree of vertex $i$ in graph $G$. In th...
متن کاملUpper and lower bounds for numerical radii of block shifts
For an n-by-n complex matrix A in a block form with the (possibly) nonzero blocks only on the diagonal above the main one, we consider two other matrices whose nonzero entries are along the diagonal above the main one and consist of the norms or minimum moduli of the diagonal blocks of A. In this paper, we obtain two inequalities relating the numeical radii of these matrices and also determine ...
