چکیده

Introduction: Implant restorations should endure a variable range of forces over long period time. Some commercial brands offer the implant together with an accessory called “implant mount” or holder,” which might be used as temporary abutment. However, scientific literature in use holders abutments for is scarce. Objectives: The purpose this vitro study was to compare load at Direct® and Zimmer® fail under static compression after being subjected fatigue, gap produced between implant–holder complexes dynamic loading.Materials Methods: test protocol based on recommendation ISO 14801. Five implant–implant holder assemblies each brand were loading. A 250 N applied 5 × 106 cycles 15 Hz stress frequency (Eden Prairie, MN, USA). (μm) interface measured postfatigue using scanning electron microscopy (S-3700N, HITACHI, Japan), afterward, loading maximum (N) point failure established. Implant–definitive abutment controls. Data analyzed by means central tendency measurement Mann–Whitney U-test (nonparametric). Results: There no difference both groups (P ≤ 0.05); however, slight trend greater resistance observed group. implants, but not statistically significant. Conclusion: No significant differences found terms two experimental groups.

Loading Drug on Nanostructured Ti6Al4V-HA for Implant Applications

Arrayed Ti6Al4V nanotubes (TNT) coated with hydroxyapatite (HA) were synthesized via electrochemical anodization method. Paracetamol was loaded onto TNT-HA electrode. Effects of anodization, nanotube formation and hydroxyapatite deposition on sorption and release of the drug were investigated. Saturation time of paracetamol on the anodized samples was 30% shorter than the hydroxyapatite-coated ...

Finite Element Analysis of Different Hip Implant Designs along with Femur under Static Loading Conditions

Background: The hip joint is the largest joint after the knee, which gives stability to the whole human structure. The hip joint consists of a femoral head which articulates with the acetabulum. Due to age and wear between the joints, these joints need to be replaced with implants which can function just as a natural joint. Since the early 19th century, the hip joint arthroplasty has evolved, a...

Influence of the connection design and titanium grades of the implant complex on resistance under static loading

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the resistance to deformation under static overloading by measuring yield and fracture strength, and to analyze the failure characteristics of implant assemblies made of different titanium grades and connections. MATERIALS AND METHODS Six groups of implant assemblies were fabricated according to ISO 14801 (n=10). These consisted of the combina...

implant-prosthetic parameters and marginal bone loss (MBL) around implants and survival rate at 5.7 ±3.2 years of follow-up after prosthetic loading. Eighty-two patients received 164 external hexagon implants. After the standard healing period (3 to 6 months), the implants were restored with single-tooth or up to three splinted crowns. All patients were followed according to a strict maintenanc...
