چکیده

Liothrips wasabiae (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) is an important insect pest of water wasabi (Eutrema japonicum). The area infested by L. becomes black-spotted. Water requires a long cultivation period approximately 1.5–2 years. However, chemical insecticides to control can only be applied maximum three times according the pesticide regulation. Therefore, two insecticides, dinotefuran and nitenpyram, that have been demonstrated highly effective, were investigated for their residual effect against wasabiae. Results showed when adult released 28 days after insecticide treatment, caused mortality 56% compared 10% with nitenpyram.
