چکیده
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) has become one of the most important causes death and disability worldwide. A series neuroinflammatory responses induced after TBI are key factors for persistent neuronal damage, but at same time, such inflammatory can also promote debris removal tissue repair TBI. The concept pleiotropic neuroprotection delves beyond single-target treatment approach, considering multifaceted impacts following This notion embarks deeper into research-oriented paradigm, focusing on multi-target interventions that inhibit post-TBI neuroinflammation with enhanced therapeutic efficacy. With an enriched comprehension TBI’s physiological mechanisms, this review dissects advancements in developing neuroprotective pharmaceuticals to mitigate aim is provide insights may contribute early clinical management condition.

Progesterone Provides the Pleiotropic Neuroprotective Effect on Traumatic Brain Injury Through the Nrf2/ARE Signaling Pathway
OBJECTIVE This study was to investigate the role of Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway in the pleiotropic neuroprotective effect of progesterone (PROG) on traumatic brain injury (TBI). METHODS The Nrf2-knockout (Nrf2-/-) and C57 mice were respectively subjected to a lateral cortical impact injury caused by a free-falling object and randomly divided into three groups: sham-operated, trauma, and trauma...

متن کاملNeuroprotective strategies for traumatic brain injury
Head trauma is a common event that often causes traumatic brain injury (TBI). Following the acute mechanical insult, TBI evolves over the ensuing minutes and days. Understanding the secondary factors that contribute to TBI might suggest therapeutic strategies to reduce the long-term consequences of brain trauma. To assess secondary factors that contribute to TBI, we studied a fluid percussion i...
متن کاملNeuroprotective Drugs in Traumatic CNS Injury
Despite extensive experimental research, the numbers of neuroprotective drugs that have proven efficacy following treatment of patients with traumatic CNS injuries still remain meager. It would be worthwhile to emphasize that majority of the victims are mostly in the second or third decades of their lives. A survey on the neuroprotective molecules that has been tested experimentally and subsequ...
متن کاملProgress of Research on Diffuse Axonal Injury after Traumatic Brain Injury
The current work reviews the concept, pathological mechanism, and process of diagnosing of DAI. The pathological mechanism underlying DAI is complicated, including axonal breakage caused by axonal retraction balls, discontinued protein transport along the axonal axis, calcium influx, and calpain-mediated hydrolysis of structural protein, degradation of axonal cytoskeleton network, the changes o...
