چکیده
Biological invasion seriously threatens ecological stability and social development. One of the bases for forming is alien species’ strong phenotypic plasticity. Phenotypic plasticity can help species adapt to environmental changes enhance their invasive ability. China one countries affected by drought. Under background drought, exploring reasons why plants gain growth advantages mastering in response drought stress are conducive helping us understand more about mechanism species. In this paper, research progresses plants’ morphological physiological under recent years reviewed, metabolic characteristics summarized, discussed, which provided a scientific theoretical basis alleviating serious harm caused biological China’s natural environment.

Adaptive phenotypic plasticity of Siberian elm in response to drought stress: increased stomatal pore depth.
Leaf stomatal characteristics of Siberian elm (Ulmus pumila) were investigated by electron microscopy and white light scanning interferometry. On the basis of average annual precipitations, two types of tree specimens were collected from Korea, China, and Mongolia: (1) trees under normal environmental conditions and (2) trees under arid conditions. Field emission scanning electron microscopy re...
متن کاملThe phenotypic plasticity of the aquatic invertebrate Caenis latipennis in response to environmental conditions in the Kheirood Kenar River, Iran
Phenotypic plasticity is the capability of an organism to change its shape in response to the environmental condition. The present study aimed to investigate the phenotypic plasticity of the aquatic invertebrate Caenis latipennis using outline analysis. Samples were collected from up- and downstream of the Kheirood Kenar River, identified to the species level and photographed using a digital ca...
متن کاملProgress in the detection of costs of phenotypic plasticity in plants.
Among the most interesting biological phenomena is the fact that a genotype can develop different phenotypes depending on the environment in which this development takes place. Historically, however, the focus was on homeostasis by canalization of the phenotype to a presumed optimum (Waddington, 1960), and phenotypic plasticity was interpreted as deviation ftom such an optimum and therefore con...
متن کاملHow Do Plants and Phytohormones Accomplish Heterophylly, Leaf Phenotypic Plasticity, in Response to Environmental Cues
Plant species are known to respond to variations in environmental conditions. Many plant species have the ability to alter their leaf morphology in response to such changes. This phenomenon is termed heterophylly and is widespread among land plants. In some cases, heterophylly is thought to be an adaptive mechanism that allows plants to optimally respond to environmental heterogeneity. Recently...
