Research on the Strength Check of Sub-caliber Fragment Gun Barrel

Abstract In order to consider the strength of gun barrel more accurately in design barrel, a virtual prototype fragment is established this paper. The finite element simulation model considering axial force and temperature change established, force, dynamic load established. Through numerical calculation simulation, changes under loading bore pressure were analysed. results show that maximum stress decreases when increases chamber pressure. has little effect on significant barrel. verification, it found designed reasonable meets requirement.
