RESEARCH ON THE ADSORPTION OF PB2+ IONS BY APATITE ORE AND PURIFIED APATITE ORE

Apatite ore from Lao Cai province (Vietnam) has large reserves and low cost which was purified by a simple chemical method. one were characterized the molecular structure, phase component, specific surface area, element morphology IR, XRD, BET, EDX, SEM methods. The IR result shows both materials have functional groups of fluorapatite such as PO43- F-. XDR EDX confirm that main component is fluorapatite. After purification, particles are smaller more uniform with higher area (36.62 m2/g compared 3.76 original apatite ore). Two used to adsorb Pb2+ ions in an aqueous solution. effect adsorbent mass, pH, initial concentration, contact time on adsorption efficiency capacity evaluated. study kinetics isothermal showed process matched pseudo-second-order kinetic model Langmuir model. comparison between also studied. With 0.05 g absorbent, after 15 minutes, 97.47%, much (50%) 45 minutes.
