Research on Properties of Ash and Slag Composite Cementitious Materials for Biomass Power Plants

The effects of ash and slag from a biomass power plant on the compressive strength, setting time fluidity pastes Portland cement (P.O) sulfoaluminate (SAC) were studied, hydration products microstructure at age 7 days analyzed via XRD, SEM other test methods. results show that strength composite cementitious material decreases, prolongs increases with increase in content plant. microscopic analysis shows can promote paste, generation products. showed replacing SAC clinker 20–30% (BPPA) decreased an appropriate amount BPPA (10–15%) could significantly improve mechanical blended cement. 28 reach 60 MPa. This study provided solutions to utilizing as building admixture minimize consumption energy-intensive meet growing needs construction industry.
