Research on Manhattan Distance Based Trust Management in Vehicular Ad Hoc Network

In recent years, Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) has developed significantly. Coordination between vehicles can enhance driving safety and improve traffic efficiency. Due to the high dynamic characteristic of VANET, security become one challenging problems. Trust message is a key element in VANET. This paper proposes Manhattan Distance Based Management model (MDBTM) VANET environment which solves problem existing trust management research that considers distance sending vehicle event location. this model, number building obstacles are calculated by considering movement relationship The Dijkstra algorithm used predict path with maximum probability, when toward scores then based on obstacles. Finally, fused determine whether message. experimental results show proposed method better performance than similar methods terms correct decision probability under different proportions malicious vehicles, numbers reference ranges.
