چکیده
In recent years, shape memory alloys (SMAs) have been applied in the vibration control of engineering structures due to their special properties such as super elasticity and high damping, study performance SMA wires has relatively comprehensive, while research on fatigue bars via cyclic tensile tests pretty rare, low-cycle test not reported. However, damage building caused by earthquakes is high-strain, fatigue; therefore, order for be used seismic design, were conducted with a diameter 14 mm this paper. Firstly, specimens heat treated at constant temperature 350 °C 30 min; other 400 15 min, rests under min. Secondly, energy dissipation capacity residual strain bar determined using test, which amplitudes 2.5%, 3.5% 3.75%. Additionally, stress–strain relationship loading was given. Finally, numerically simulated comparison analysis experimental results verify feasibility. Thus, it proved that can recommend design structures.

Superelastic Behavior under Cyclic Loading for Coil Spring of Ti-Ni Shape Memory Alloy
The superelastic behavior of coil springs of a Ti-Ni shape memory alloy was investigated using loading-unloading cycling tests under isothemal temperatures. The effects of the Ni content and shape memory treatment temperatures on the cyclic behavior in the superelastic deformation were investigated. The deformation behavior within the elastic region of the parent phase scarcely changes during t...
متن کاملA jumping shape memory alloy under heat
Shape memory alloys are typical temperature-sensitive metallic functional materials due to superelasticity and shape recovery characteristics. The conventional shape memory effect involves the formation and deformation of thermally induced martensite and its reverse transformation. The shape recovery process usually takes place over a temperature range, showing relatively low temperature-sensit...
متن کاملAn experimental study of the superelastic effect in a shape-memory Nitinol alloy under biaxial loading
Constitutive laws for shape-memory alloys subjected to multiaxial loading, which are based on direct experimental observations, are generally not available in the literature. Accordingly, in the present work, tension–torsion tests are conducted on thin-walled tubes (thickness/radius ratio of 1:10) of the polycrystalline superelastic/shape-memory alloy Nitinol using various loading/unloading pat...
متن کاملPhase Transformation Evolution in NiTi Shape Memory Alloy under Cyclic Nanoindentation Loadings at Dissimilar Rates
Hysteresis energy decreased significantly as nanocrystalline NiTi shape memory alloy was under triangular cyclic nanoindentation loadings at high rate. Jagged curves evidenced discrete stress relaxations. With a large recovery state of maximum deformation in each cycle, this behavior concluded in several nucleation sites of phase transformation in stressed bulk. Additionally, the higher initial...
