Research on carbon emission efficiency in the Chinese construction industry based on a three-stage DEA-Tobit model

The traditional data envelopment analysis (DEA) model usually ignores the influence of external environmental factors and random interference. This can easily lead to deviations in efficiency estimates. In order solve this problem, a three-stage DEA was used better reflect carbon emission Chinese construction industry (CEECI) (2006–2017) from perspective non-management factors. internal influencing CEECI are analyzed by Tobit model, which provides more accurate basis for formulating policies. It is found that significantly affected GDP, level industrialization, degree opening-up, technological innovation, energy structure. After excluding interference, average increased 16%. resulting calculations noteworthy three aspects. First, there significant regional differences CEECI. Both multi-polarization phenomenon also reduced gradually over time. Second, be decomposed into pure (PCEE) scale (SE), mainly caused SE. Excluding interference will have specific impact on All 30 provinces divided four categories analyze reasons solutions provinces. Third, many had inhibitory effects CEECI, PCEE, SE; these included structure optimization, labor force number, total power construct ion equipment, intensity industry. Nevertheless, development did positive effect.
