Abstract The reply herein shows the factual incorrectness of comment by Eladawy, Asefa and El Nour, which is primarily supported miscitations misinterpretations published research, as well claims from social media unreliable TV interviews. mistakenly ommit different components calculated total water budget deficit in our paper accordingly that it aimed to create a ‘water panic’, term derives non-quantitative subjective reading abstract. We show detail misrepresents aim, approach, results, interpretations reported original does not provide any verification on reproducibility nor offers alternative or suggested impacts conclusions remain valid unchallenged above comment.

Close to the border with Sudan, Ethiopia is currently building the largest hydroelectric power plant in Africa with a storage volume corresponding to approximately 1.5 years of the mean discharges of the Blue Nile. This endeavor is controversially debated in the public and the scientific literature. Contributing to this discussion, by shading some light on climate change issues, an eco-hydrolog...

In the comment [1], Zanardi and Rasetti argue that several claims in our recent letter [2] are questionable. Here we show these claims remain true. Our points are that (i) the Hamiltonian (1) in Ref. [2] describes amplitude damping as well as phase damping; (ii) the free-Hamiltonian-elimination (FHE) has feasible implementation in practice and there exists a simple FHE procedure which is design...

In their comment to the paper “Theory of the evaporation/condensation transition of equilibrium droplets in finite volumes” [Physica A319, 99 (2003)], Biskup et al. claim that in finite systems at fixed density “the physical significance of the conjugate thermodynamic variable is of dubious value”. This claim is critically discussed.
