چکیده
The current work reports adsorption of Ni(II) using Brassica botrytis leaves (BBL), leaves-activated carbon (BBL-AC), Lycopersicon esculentum peel (LEP) and peel-activated (LEP-AC). was tested in batch experiments by varying different parameters such as pH, initial metal ion concentration, temperature, adsorbent dosage, contact time. Thermodynamics kinetics investigations were performed for Ni removal. improved incorporation activated to the parental adsorbents. studies revealed 40 min equilibrium time Adsorption drastically declined temperature with a minimum 53% observed BBL. Similarly, solution pH also played vital role A 95% recorded case LEP-AC at 7. study concluded application active adsorbents from aqueous solution.

A Comparative Study for the Removal of Methylene Blue Dye from Aqueous Solution by Novel Activated Carbon Based Adsorbents
This study was conducted to assess the ability of the studied adsorbent, i.e. raw oak fruit hulls and the activated carbon prepared from oak fruit hull for removing the Methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution. This study was conducted under various effective parameters, e.g., contact time, pH, MB concentration, adsorbent concentration. The optimum amount of each parameter was determined a...
متن کاملRemoval of Chromate from Aqueous Solution by a Novel Clinoptilolite-Polyanillin Composite
Unmodified zeolites show little affinity for anions due to the fact that their surfaces are negatively charged. However modification of zeolites with amines turns their negative surface charge to positive and creating higher adsorption capacity for anions. In this study, polyaniline-clinoptilolite composite was prepared by polymerization of anilinium on the surface of zeolite. The composite...
متن کاملRemoval of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption onto low cost non-conventional adsorbents
Adsorption behavior of chromium, Cr(VI) from wastewater has been investigated using clarified sludge (a steel plant waste material), rice husk ash and sawdust as non-conventional adsorbents. The studies were carried out at room temperature (30C) following batch adsorption technique in a reciprocating shaker. Factors affecting the adsorption characteristics such as agitation time, initial metal ...
متن کاملMercury removal from aqueous solutions by palm leaves adsorbent
Mercury is a carcinogenic and teratogenic compound that tends to accumulate in water solutions. In this research, the removal of mercury from an aqueous solution was evaluated by using palm leaves. Experiments were performed to study the adsorption efficiency, the effect of the adsorbent amount, the balance time, the adsorbate concentration, and the pH on mercury removal. The experimental appar...
متن کاملRemoval of Heavy Metals from Aqueous Solution by Mordenite Nanocrystals
This study examined the ability of the synthetic mordenite nanocrystal to remove Tl(III) and As(III) from an aqueous solution. The determination of the concentration changes of H+ and OH- quantities in the acidic (pH 3) and alkali (pH 9) treated mordenite nanocrystals were done by the potentiometric titration curves. The maximum uptake capacities (Qmax) of these metal ions using the mordenite i...
