چکیده
Azo dyes are synthetic organic used in the textile, leather, and paper industries. They pose environmental problems due to their toxic persistent nature. The toxicity is presence of azo groups dye molecule that can break down into aromatic amines, which highly aquatic organisms humans. Various treatment methods have been developed remove from wastewater. Conventional wastewater treatments some drawbacks, such as high operating costs, long processing times, generation sludge, formation by-products. For these reasons, a valid alternative constituted by advanced oxidation processes. Good results obtained using heterogeneous photocatalysis supercritical water oxidation. In former method, photocatalyst contact with wastewater, suitable light activates catalyst, generated reactive oxygen species react pollutants through oxidative reactions complete mineralization; latter involves pressurizing heating conditions reactor vessel, adding an oxidizing agent water, allowing mixture react. this review paper, works literature deal containing photocatalysts immobilized on macroscopic supports (structured photocatalysts) technique critically analyzed. particular, advancement formulation structured for degradation has shown, underlying different important features, type support photoactive phase, configuration, photocatalytic efficiency terms stability. case oxidation, main regarding COD TOC removal reported, taking account type, pressure, temperature, well reaction time.
