Reliability-Constrained Optimal Scheduling of Interconnected Microgrids

This paper proposes a Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) optimization model for the scheduling problem of interconnected microgrid system. The proposed is capable efficiently minimizing microgrids' total operating costs and improving entire system's reliability, as it constrained based on enhancing reliability. Expected Energy Not Supplied (EENS) considered in order to ensure power deficiency. Furthermore, has capability solve considering islanded operation microgrids, i.e. when disturbances occur upstream grid. Numerical simulations test system containing three microgrids are performed evaluate effectiveness results demonstrate merits features reliability-constrained optimal
