Nucleon Form Factors in a Relativistic Three-quark Model
We report the calculation of electromagnetic form factors of nucleons within a relativistic three-quark model with Gaussian shape for the nucleon-quark vertex. The allowed region for two adjustable parameters, the range parameter ΛN in the Gaussian and the constituent quark mass mq, is obtained from fitting the data for magnetic moments and electromagnetic radii of nucleons. It is found that th...
متن کاملForm factors of meson decays in the relativistic constituent quark model.
A formalism for the relativistic description of hadron decays within the constituent quark model is presented. First, hadron amplitudes of the light–cone constituent quark model, in particular the weak transition form factors at spacelike momentum transfers, q ≤ 0, are represented in the form of the dispersion integrals over the hadron mass. Second, the form factors at q > 0 are obtained by per...
متن کاملRelativistic harmonic oscillator model for quark stars
The relativistic harmonic oscillator (RHO) model of hadrons is used to study quark stars. The massradius relationship is obtained and compared with bag model of quark star, using Tolman-OppenheimerVolkoff equation. In this model, the outward degenerate pressure due to discrete Landau levels and Landau degeneracy balances the inward gravitational pressure. Where as in bag model the degenerate pr...
متن کاملMesonic Tensor Form Factors with Light Front Quark Model
We study the tensor form factors for P → P and P → V transitions in the lightfront quark model with P and V being pseudoscalar and vector mesons, respectively. We explore the behaviors of these form factors in the entire physical range of 0 ≤ p ≤ (Mi−Mf ). At the maximum recoil of p = 0, we compare our results of the form factors in B → π,K, ρ,K with various other calculations in the literature.
متن کاملNucleon Form Factors in a Covariant Diquark – Quark Model †
In a model where constituent quarks and diquarks interact through quark exchange the Bethe–Salpeter equation in ladder approximation for the nucleon is solved. Quark and diquark confinement is effectively parametrized by choosing appropriately modified propagators. The coupling to external currents is implemented via nontrivial vertex functions for quarks and diquarks to ensure gauge invariance...
