Relationship between Social Studies Teacher Candidates’ Digital Literacy Self-Efficacy Levels and Information and Communication Technology Competencies

This research aims to determine the relationship between social studies teacher candidates’ digital literacy self-efficacy levels and their information communication technology competencies. The was conducted using relational survey model, which is one of quantitative methods. study group consists 187 pre-service teachers (137 female 50 male) studying in 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th grades Social Studies Education Department Faculty at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. data were collected through “Digital Literacy Self-Efficacy Scale Pre-Teacher Teachers” that developed by Ocak Karakuş (2018), a Personal Information Form prepared researchers “Candidate Communication Technologies Scale” Tondeur et al. (2017) adapted into Turkish Gökçearslan (2018). It concluded there positive, moderately significant competencies levels.
