Relationship between Remanence and Micromorphology of Nd-Fe-B Permanent Magnets Revealed by Fractal Theory and EBSD Data

Remanence is an important parameter of magnetic property for Nd-Fe-B magnets, and high remanent magnetization a prerequisite high-performance magnets. In this paper, the surface morphology perpendicular to texture orientation direction parallel analyzed by permanent magnets with different compositions. For first time, relationship between remanence magnet degree explained in depth using fractal dimension. The dimension combined equation yields magnet, which agreement trend squareness factor demagnetization curves. Among three samples, sample has highest orientation, Pr-Nd-Fe-B lowest Nd-Ce-Fe-B two. multiples uniform (pole) density obtained EBSD further prove correctness calculated combination obtain novel insights into correlation will contribute development remanence.
