REINVENTING RELIGIOUS MODERATION IN INDIA THROUGH SUFI CONTENT IN BOLLYWOOD MUSIC VIDEO

Religious violence in India has become one of the bloodiest humanitarian crises history. There have been many efforts to stop or reduce these conflicts, which is promoting religious moderation using art media. Within last decade, incorporating Sufi content Bollywood music videos a new trend. Sufism, as mystical form Islam, viewed more pluralistic and acceptable for all societies India. Therefore, this study aimed observe measure its role approach Using Roland Barthes' semiotics theory, qualitative research observed how Sufism depicted analyzed it represents moderation. The results revealed that depiction represented two forms: visualized lyrics. selected movie songs some principles like tasamuh (tolerance), i'tidal (justice), qudwah (leadership), i'tiraf al-urf (respecting tradition), anti-violence. Analyzing comments on Youtube featuring those videos, could be concluded successfully influenced audience religiously moderate.
