چکیده

To better understand the mechanisms of hydro-ecological cycle in changing environments Yangtze River Basin (YZRB), it is valuable to investigate vegetation dynamics and their response climate change. This study explored spatial patterns essential triggers regional differences by analyzing variations 1982–2015 period at different time scales interannual variability sensitivity variability. The results showed that normalized difference index (NDVI) increased significantly last three decades, but displayed great spatiotemporal scales. central part YZRB dominated forests shrublands was more sensitive than source region YZRB, which alpine meadows tundra (AMT). contribution variables (VSI) had large differences, solar radiation temperature were dominant factors. Furthermore, 57.9% increasing VSIs, especially south-central part. Consistent with distributions elevation types, divided into five patterns, largest NDVI trend Region III VSI IV. Moreover, exhibited fairly consistent all subregions, contributions varied greatly among regions.

Regional vegetation dynamics and its response to climate change—a case study in the Tao River Basin in Northwestern China

The 30-year normalized-difference vegetation index (NDVI) time series from AVHRR/MODIS satellite sensors was used in this study to assess the regional vegetation dynamic changes in the Tao River Basin, which cuts across the Eastern Tibetan Plateau (ETP) and the Southwestern Loess Plateau (SLP). First, principal component and correlation analyses were carried out to determine the key climatic va...

Prediction of regional water balance components based on climate, soil, and vegetation parameters, with application to the Illinois River Basin

[1] This paper presents a framework for studying regional water balance in which the physical processes are first described at the local instantaneous scale and then integrated to the annual, basin-wide scale. The integration treats the relative soil saturation (i.e., the soil moisture divided by the porosity) and precipitation intensities as stochastic variables in space and time. A statistica...

Urbanization Effects on Vegetation and Surface Urban Heat Islands in China's Yangtze River Basin

In the context of rapid urbanization, systematic research about temporal trends of urbanization effects (UEs) on urban environment is needed. In this study, MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) land surface temperature (LST) data and enhanced vegetation index (EVI) data were used to analyze the temporal trends of UEs on vegetation and surface urban heat islands (SUHIs) at 10 bi...
