چکیده
Abstract The famous Martenberg section of the eastern Rhenish Massif, Germany, type-section classical Frasnian goniatite and conodont zonations, has been restudied in order to document microfacies development refine stratigraphy around global semichatovae Event/Transgression, proposed level define a future upper substage. THE CAUSE OF BIOMASS EXTINCTION AT THE FRASNIAN-FAMENNIAN BOUNDARY, THE KERMAN PROVINCE SOUTHEASTERN, CENTRAL IRAN
About 35 samples were collected from lower and upper parts of the proposed Frasnianamennian boundary in three sections of Upper Devonian marine sediments of the Kerman province. The biostratigraphical and geochemical studies indicate that about 45% extinction of brachiopods probably caused by the Frasnian-Famennian bioevents, which is slightly higher than thr rate of Devonian-Carboniferous exti...
متن کاملRefined Isotope Stratigraphy across the Continental Paleocene-eocene Boundary on Polecat Bench in the Northern
One of the most continuous and best studied continental stratigraphic sections spanning the Paleocene-Eocene boundary is preserved on Polecat Bench in the northern Bighorn Basin. The mammalian biostratigraphy of Polecat Bench sediments has been well documented, and includes a major reorganization of faunas at or near the P-E boundary. To complement the existing biostratigraphy, we measured the ...
متن کاملFood-borne norovirus-outbreak at a military base, Germany, 2009
BACKGROUND Norovirus is often transmitted from person-to-person. Transmission may also be food-borne, but only few norovirus outbreak investigations have identified food items as likely vehicles of norovirus transmission through an analytical epidemiological study.During 7-9 January, 2009, 36 persons at a military base in Germany fell ill with acute gastroenteritis. Food from the military base'...
متن کاملA non standard free-boundary problem arising from stratigraphy
In this paper, we are interested in the mathematical analysis of a geological stratigraphic model, taking into account a limited weathering condition. Firstly, we present the physical model and the mathematical formulation, which lead to an original conservation law. Then, the definition of a solution and some mathematical tools in order to resolve the problem are given. At last, we treat the 1...
