Reduced Nitrogen Fertilizer Rates Maintained Raspberry Growth in an Established Field

چکیده

Optimizing nitrogen (N) fertilizer rates maintains good red raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) production while alleviating environmental risks. Although growers in Washington are using the caneberry nutrient management guides derived from western Oregon, these may not be appropriate for other regions given differences climate, soil type, and crop productivity. However, limited research has been conducted to observe impact of N rate on floricane growth, yield, fruit quality Washington. The aim this study is evaluate response “Meeker” raspberries grown northwest Washington, USA, different order provide information future local guides. Treatments urea (46% (N)) were surface-applied raised beds established ‘Meeker’ plots at controls, low, medium, high (0, 34, 67, 101 kg ha?1, respectively) 2019 2020. experiment was arranged a randomized complete block with three replications. Fruit yield quality, plant growth leaf tissue concentrations, characteristics evaluated. There no treatment effects characteristics, except titratable acidity ammonium (NH4-N) concentrations. lack due nutrients mineralized organic matter (3.81–4.0%) utilization reserves. Based results, level reserves should considered when making suggestions. Fertilizer costs as well potential pollution excess fertilizers could reduced through utilizing two sources nutrients. Furthermore, longer periods warranted understand how adjust based sustaining yields.

Growth and yield responses of two forage sorghum cultivars to different nitrogen fertilizer rates

In order to evaluate the impact of different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer on growth and yield of two forage sorghum cultivars, a 2-year field experiment was carried out at the College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran during 2010 and 2011 growing seasons. Two factorial experiments were carried out in randomized block design with three replicates, in which the treatments included...

Yield and nitrogen leaching in maize field under different nitrogen rates and partial root drying irrigation

Irrigation water is limiting for crop production in arid and semi-arid areas. Furthermore, excess nitrogen (N) application is a source of groundwater contamination. Partial root drying irrigation (PRD) can be used as water saving technique and a controlling measure of groundwater N contamination. The objectives of this investigation were to evaluate the effect of ordinary furrow irrigation (OFI...

Response of Highbush Blueberry to Nitrogen Fertilizer during Field Establishment—II. Plant Nutrient Requirements in Relation to Nitrogen Fertilizer Supply

A study was done to determine the macroand micronutrient requirements of young northern highbush blueberry plants (Vaccinium corymbosum L. ‘Bluecrop’) during the first 2 years of establishment and to examine how these requirements were affected by the amount of nitrogen (N) fertilizer applied. The plants were spaced 1.2 · 3.0 m apart and fertilized with 0, 50, or 100 kg ha of N, 35 kg ha of pho...
