چکیده
Abstract. A reinvestigation of the type angastonite specimen from Penrice marble quarry, South Australia, shows that published powder X-ray diffraction pattern for mineral corresponds to a mixture crystalline phases plus an amorphous phase. The formula mineral, CaMgAl2(PO4)2(OH)4⋅7H2O, has been found correspond proposal redefinition as phase approved by IMA CNMNC. Amorphous is isotropic with index refraction in range 1.33 1.40 and measured density 1.57(2) g cm−3. It formed incongruent leaching minyulite circulating Mg- Ca-bearing solutions. undergoes local recrystallisation form penriceite two other new crandallite-derivative layer phases. cluster model structure proposed based on crandallite-type segments. brief review minerals given.

Modelling Morphogenesis as an Amorphous Computation
This thesis presents a programming-language viewpoint for morphogenesis, the process of shape formation during embryological development. We model morphogenesis as a self-organizing, self-repairing amorphous computation and describe how we can program large-scale shape formation by giving local instructions to cell-like objects. Our goal is to simulate systems that display properties, like robu...
متن کاملProgramming a Sensor Network as an Amorphous Medium
In many sensor network applications, the network is deployed to approximate a physical space. The network itself is not of interest: rather, we are interested in measuring the properties of the space it fills, and of establishing control over the behavior of that space. Consider, for example, deploying a network of devices to manage a large farm. The tasks to be carried out by the devices—irrig...
متن کاملBiological weathering of sepiolite clay mineral as affected by the activity of an earthworm species )Eisenia foetida(
Sepiolite is an Mg-rich fibrous clay mineral which occurs in agricultural soils of arid regions. Although many investigations have been carried out on the formation and stability of this clay mineral, no information is yet available on the mineralogical changes of this mineral by earthworms. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the effect of Eisenia foetida earthworms on sepiolite wea...
متن کاملRedefinition of the Blake Event
We have recovered four new records of the paleomagnetic field variability within Oxygen Isotope Stage 5 from deep-sea sediment cores of the Blake/Bahama Outer Ridge, western North Atlantic Ocean. These cores contain reproducible evidence of the Blake Event and are located within 300 km of cores used by Smith and Foster (1969) to define the Blake Event. Our new paleomagnetic records have both re...
