Recent Advances on Electrospun Nanofiber Materials for Post-lithium Ion Batteries

Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) have dominated the portable electric market over decades; however, limited and unevenly distributed lithium resources induce concerns on their future large-scale applications. Increasing efforts been endeavored exploring post-Li batteries, such as Na-ion, K-ion, Al-ion Mg-ion due to high abundance of corresponding elements in Earth crust. Manufacturing reliable electrode materials is key develop these new battery systems. Facile scalable electrospinning has widely utilized preparing mechanically stable, flexible conductive nanofiber electrodes successfully proven LIBs. In recent years, tremendous devoted for discernible progress electrochemical performance witnessed. Herein, we aim review the-state-of-the-art advances made electrospun optimizing technology by surveying correlations among morphology, surface chemistry, structure nanofibers, performance. Based intensive investigations insightful understandings, perspectives design are also presented.
