چکیده
Myocardial infarction, stroke, and pulmonary embolism are all deadly conditions associated with excessive thrombus formation. Standard treatment for these involves systemic delivery of thrombolytic agents to break up clots restore blood flow; however, this can impact the hemostatic balance in other parts vasculature, which lead bleeding. To avoid potential danger, targeted treatments that successfully target thrombi release an effective therapeutic load necessary. Because activated platelets fibrin make a large proportion clots, two components provide ample opportunities targeting. This review will highlight targeting mechanisms as well recent advances therapies utilize cells clotting proteins effectively lyse clots.
