Recent advance in three-dimensional porous carbon materials for electromagnetic wave absorption

With the increasingly serious electromagnetic wave (EMW) pollution, development of high-performance EMW absorbing materials (EWAMs) has become a hot topic. Carbon-based EWAMs have excellent chemical stability, high electrical conductivity, and strong dielectric loss. In particular, three-dimensional (3D) porous carbon-based been widely developed in absorption field. The 3D structure not only reduces materials’ mass density, but also improves multiple reflections incident EMWs impedance matching. are thus expected to achieve goals low thickness, wide bandwidth, absorption. Herein, we first restated relevant theoretical basis evaluation methods. Then, summarized recent research progress with source as main clue. Some unique novel viewpoints were highlighted. Finally, challenges prospects put forward, which is helpful for guiding further EWAMs.
